When you install the Microsoft OneDrive sync app for Mac, a copy of your OneDrive is downloaded to your Mac and put in the OneDrive folder. This folder is kept in sync with OneDrive. If you add, change, or delete a file or folder on the OneDrive website, the file or folder is added, changed, or deleted in your OneDrive folder and vice versa.

These two scripts do the same thing. Once they are deployed onto the Mac, they attempt to download the installer package and then install the Microsoft 365 Apps for Mac suite. The main benefit here is that you get additional flexibility with the installation process.
This is a sample of some code from installOfficeBusinessPro.sh which will look for a local copy of the installer before downloading from the CDN servers. You would need to handle the downloading of the latest installer package regularly. We have an example script to do this here.

The latest version uses an icon of a single cloud with three shades of blue. An older version uses an icon of two supperimposed clouds with a darker shade of blue. If you have an older version, you should remove it and replace it with the latest version.

Setting up OneDriveAt the prompt, enter your full UW Stout email address and click Sign In.
Enter your password and press Sign In again.
The next window will ask where the OneDrive folder should be located. By default, it is nested in your home folder. This can be changed by clicking Change Location. Most users will be ok with the default location and can click Next.
There is now the option to choose which files should be synced with OneDrive. The default, and recommended, option is Sync all files and folders in OneDrive. However, you can deselect folders you would not like to sync. When your selection is complete, click Next.
